It has a low-profile design, making the boot less obvious. It is designed to minimize height difference, allowing for a more even stride with less of a limp. The bottom of the boot is curved so it can rock back and forth and has non-skid traction on the bottom, facilitating a safe walking process during healing and helping to keep the user safe from injury.
The wide shape of the boot allows it to fit either the right or left foot and compensates for possible swelling, extra bandages, or ankle braces that might be in place. If there is no swelling or excessive bandage wrapping, the boot will still fit comfortably thanks to the adjustable hook and loop straps. There are two straps across the top of the foot as well as one around the leg to help keep the boot secure. These straps allow the user to tighten the compression and adjust the size to make sure the foot doesn’t slide around inside the boot.
