How to use MIC-KEY Bolus Feed Extension Set with ENFit Connectors?
- Connect one end of the bolus extension set to the feeding port on the enteral feeding tube.
- Lock the ENFit connector securely into place to prevent leakage.
- Make sure to remove air from the extension set. For this, fill the syringe with the prepared formula or medication. Connect the syringe to the ENFit connector on the extension set. Slowly push the formula or medication through the extension set until it ends. This will ensure there are no air bubbles or gaps in the line.
- Once the setup is complete, start the process of enteral feeding through the feeding extension set.
- Once done, flush the extension set with water or as instructed by your healthcare provider.
- Wash the extension set thoroughly with warm water and mild soap. Rinse it well to remove any residue.
