Intended Use
- For use with Quintet and McKesson Quintet AC Blood Glucose Meters as a quality control test to verify that the Quintet Meter and Test Strips and the McKesson Quintet AC Meter and Test Strips are working properly.
When should a Quality Control Test be performed?
- To ensure that your meter and test strips are working together properly.
- To confirm that you are following the correct procedure
- To prepare for your initial blood glucose test
- To check the test strips when you open a new vial of strips
- To check your meter after it has been dropped, damaged or exposed to liquids
- If you suspect that your test results are inaccurate, or if your test results are not consistent with the way you feel.
Precautions
- Quintet AC Control Solution is not intended for human consumption
- The Control Solution is for in vitro diagnostic use only.
- Shake the control solution vial well before using
- Keep control solution, test strips, and all vials out of reach of children.
Storage and Handling
- Store the unopened control solution at room temperature between 36ºF – 86ºF (2ºC – 30ºC)
- Do not refrigerate
- When opening a new vial of McKesson Quintet AC Control Solution, write the opening date on the label.
- McKesson Quintet AC Control Solution is good for 3 months after opening the vial, or until the expiration date printed on the label
- Check the expiration date before using the control solution
- Replace the vial cap of control solution and close tightly immediately after use.
