How to clean Drive Medical Gravity 9 Care Pressure Redistribution Mattress?
- Mattresses Must be cleaned regularly after each patient use. Because of the potential risk of infectious exposure, cleaning with the patient on the bed is not recommended.
- All equipment should be inspected
- Any item that is visibly soiled with the patient’s blood or other body fluids should be properly cleaned or removed
- Staff members should treat all soiled bedding as if it were contaminated with pathogenic microorganisms
- Staff members should wear appropriate protective clothing when cleaning mattresses
- All cleaning solutions must be properly diluted according to the manufacturers; instructions
- Follow standard institutional wipe down and infection control procedures
- Do not open the zippered mattress top cover during cleaning, infection control procedures or during use
- Do not launder or autoclave mattress covers
- Wipe down the mattress unit with a damp cloth pre-soaked with warm water containing a mild detergent
- Approved intermediate level disinfectants may be used according to the cover material
- After cleaning, please avoid dust and proximity to dusty areas
- All parts should be air dried thoroughly before use
How to maintain Drive Gravity 9 Premium Mattress?
- Inspection: Internal and external parts of the mattress must be inspected at least every 3 months for damage and wear. Remove the mattress from service and replace all damaged parts.
