Features of CompactCath Intermittent Urinary Catheter
- Non-Touch Insertion: The plastic case and sheath work together to provide non-touch insertion, maximizing hygiene and control while minimizing any risk of infection. Polished eyelets are also in place for more comfortable insertion and withdrawal
- Pre-Lubricated: The catheter is pulled out, the pre-lubricated sheath slides along the catheter, lubricating the catheter surface with silicon oil for smoother and more comfortable insertion
- Maximum Control: When done, coil the catheter back into the case by dialing it clockwise direction. Insert it back into the pouch and dispose of it hygienically
- Flow Control Funnel: CompactCath unique funnel mechanism, user have complete control of drainage, reducing the risk of spillage. When ready, release the funnel to aim and drain
Three P to remember while using CompactCath:
- Pull the case back using dominant hand to extend the catheter by about 1-2 inches.
- Press down on the handle using index finger. This acts as a brake and gives more control
- Push: Release grip of the sheath slightly and push the case forward to insert more of the catheter

Instructions for Use:
- Peel open the pouch and remove the catheter
- Do not hold or pinch the body of the case, or turn the dial before pulling the catheter out. This restricts movement in the wheel, preventing the catheter from being released
- Make sure you hold the catheter by the rim. Holding or pinching the body of the case would block the case from turning and would not allow you to pull the catheter out
- Advance the catheter by pressing down on the handle while gliding the sheath until the catheter reaches the bladder
- When bladder is empty, aim the catheter in the desired location and unplug the funnel by pushing it outwards
- Once drained, slowly remove the catheter from the urethra, coil it back into the case and dispose of it discreetly and hygienically.
Cautions:
- If you experience that CompactCath does not drain your bladder the way you are used to, please contact a physician/nurse.
- In case of Urinary Tract Infection with symptoms such as fever, discomfort when emptying the bladder, a frequent urge to urinate or blood in the urine, contact your physician/nurse.
- If the pouch of the catheter is not sealed, or if the catheter is otherwise damaged, do not use the catheter.
- Store product at room temperature. However, exposure to extreme temperatures (below 0 or above 60c) for up to 24 hours will not damage the catheter.
