How to Use Provox HME Cap?
Warnings:
- It can be used only with Provox HME Cassette
- Attach the device by means of any Provox Adhesive base plate or Provox LaryTube
- Close the front opening of the cap manually when speaking with a voice prosthesis
- Replace the HME cassette every 24 hours (more frequently if needed)
- The cap itself can be cleaned and reused
- Always assemble the device (HME cassette and cap) carefully before use
- If the cap should detach from the 11%1E cassettes during use, you must remove the complete adhesive base plate from the stoma, with the HME cassette still mounted in the base plate
- Do not try to manipulate in any other way, and never try to re-attach the cap
- Never remove the foam from the HME cassette, this would eliminate the HME features and can damage the cassette casing
- Can also increase the risk of inhaling particles from the device
- Do not reuse the time cassette or the foam like after washing out
- Washing eliminates the calcium chloride needed for a sufficient LIME function and can increase the risk of infection
