Band size measurement
- First measure the circumference at the bra band then hold your arms on your hips while you measure the circumference
- Add 5 inches to the circumference measurement to achieve an even number
- If the patient is not able to stand, measure her while seated
- If the patient is seated, don’t add extra inches to the chest circumference measurement
Cup size measurement
- Measure from the center of the sternum, over the apex of the natural breast, under the arm, to the center of the spine
- Now double the measurement
- Calculate the difference between the band measurement and the cup measurement
