How to apply Calcium Alginate Dressing by Abena?
- Carefully clean the wound and its surrounding area with sterile water or saline solution and dry the surrounding skin gently
- Select the right size of dressing for the wound area. Carefully open the sterile pouch to remove the dressing inside
- A secondary dressing is necessary when using calcium alginates. If needed, cut the tape and dressing using sterile scissors
